Fergal has over 25 years of experience in Banking & Real Estate Capital Markets. Having started his career in Real Estate Sales & Research, Fergal then moved into Real Estate Lending in 1997 when he joined Anglo Irish Bank in Dublin.
Over the next 8 years, he helped build a successful lending platform, working with some of the largest and most active players in the Irish market. In 2005 he relocated to London where he was responsible for Real Estate Lending in both the UK and mainland Europe. After the Lehman collapse in 2008, Fergal’s focus changed to workouts & restructurings with responsibility for the £8bn UK portfolio. Following this period of debt restructuring, he spearheaded the sales effort in conjunction with the Government’s advisors, of the Bank’s residual loan book of some £6bn. Having helped bring the sale to a successful conclusion in June 2014, Fergal went on to establish ECP.
